小提琴:寧峰
小提琴家寧峰出生于中國成都,曾就讀于四川音樂學院,隨后到英國皇家音樂學院深造,并成為該學院首個在畢業獨奏上拿到滿分的學生。寧峰在國際舞臺上頻頻獲獎,在漢諾威國際小提琴比賽、伊麗莎白女皇國際小提琴比賽和耶胡迪·梅紐因國際小提琴比賽上都有所斬獲,并且在2005年邁克·希爾國際小提琴比賽(新西蘭)獲得第一名,在2006年獲得帕格尼尼國際小提琴比賽第一名,緊緊跟隨世界頂尖小提琴家卡瓦科斯、克萊默和阿卡多的步伐。
作為中國最高水平的演奏家,寧峰在中國本土演出頻繁,包括與許多國內交響樂團以及世界其他巡演樂團進行合作。寧峰現居于柏林,常在世界各地進行演出,由此以其極其抒情的藝術表現、華麗精湛的演奏以及令人驚嘆的技巧而享譽世界。
荷蘭Channel Classics唱片公司為寧峰錄制發行過多張唱片,最新一張唱片是2014年發行的寧峰與柏林德意志交響樂團合作演奏的布魯赫《蘇格蘭幻想曲》和柴可夫斯基小提琴協奏曲。此前他還在該唱片公司錄制了兩張獨奏專輯——于2013年8月發行的《Solo2》專輯收錄了巴托克、普羅科夫耶夫和亨德密特的獨奏奏鳴曲;專輯《Solo1》以帕格尼尼、克萊斯勒、貝里奧、施尼特凱和其他音樂家的曲目為主打。“你將被這張專輯中演奏者精湛的演奏才能所震驚,此外,為那美妙的音色所震撼。”《高保真音響試聽》雜志談及此專輯時如是說。

寧峰的演奏用琴是一把1721年的斯特拉迪瓦里小提琴,名為“麥克米蘭”,飛躍演奏香港有限公司貼心為他安排了私人貸款以供該小提琴的使用。
指揮:余隆
余隆是活躍于國際樂壇的最杰出的中國指揮家,被紐約時報譽為“中國古典音樂屆最具影響力的人物”,現任北京國際音樂節藝術委員會主席和中國愛樂樂團藝術總監,上海交響樂團和廣州交響樂團音樂總監,上海夏季音樂節的聯合總監,以及香港管弦樂團首席客席指揮。余隆創辦了北京國際音樂節并于1998年至2018年間擔任其藝術總監。
在2019/20樂季中,除了在中國的演出,余隆將以客座指揮英國皇家愛樂樂團、紐約愛樂樂團、伯爾尼交響樂團,荷蘭廣播愛樂樂團,阿德萊德交響樂團、奧克蘭愛樂樂團、臺灣愛樂樂團以及新加坡交響樂團等。2019年夏天,余隆與上海交響樂團的巡演之旅至美國和歐洲等地,包括了BBC逍遙音樂節、愛丁堡國際藝術節、拉維尼亞藝術節,盧塞恩音樂節等。
2018年6月,余隆與德意志留聲機(以下稱“DG”)簽署獨家錄音合約,成為DG旗下簽約的第一位中國指揮家。作為2018/19樂季德意志留聲機120周年慶典的一部分,余隆于18年10月在北京的紫禁城太廟指揮了一場盛大的啟動音樂會,同臺藝術家包括阿依達•加里芙琳娜和丹尼爾•特里福諾夫,該音樂會隨后發行了唱片。

2008年,余隆指揮中國愛樂樂團作為首支中國樂團在梵蒂岡城保羅六世禮堂演出,教宗本篤十六世觀看演出,成為令全世界矚目的中西方文化交流盛事。2014年余隆率領中國愛樂樂團在英國BBC逍遙音樂節上演出,該音樂會的電視轉播在英國收視率過百萬,余隆和中國愛樂也成為了首位中國指揮和中國樂團登上這一舞臺。

Established at the highest level in China, Ning Feng performs regularly in his native country with major international and local orchestras, in recital and with the Dragon Quartet which he founded in 2012. Now based in Berlin and enjoying a global career, Ning Feng has developed a reputation internationally as an artist of great lyricism and emotional transparency, displaying tremendous bravura and awe-inspiring technical accomplishment.
Recent successes for Ning Feng have included a return to Budapest Festival Orchestra with Iván Fischer in Budapest and on tour to China performing Dutilleux L’arbre des songes, and on tour with Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra and van Zweden which included performances in Singapore, Seoul, Osaka, Sydney and Melbourne, following his critically-acclaimed European tour with the orchestra in 2015, as well as successful debuts with Los Angeles Philharmonic, Frankfurt Radio Symphony and Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. In recital and chamber music he performs regularly with Igor Levit, amongst others, in many of the major festivals in Germany and elsewhere, including Kissinger Sommer, Heidelberg, Moritzburg, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Schubertiade and La Jolla Music Society (California).
Highlights of Ning’s 2017/18 season include debuts with City of Birmingham Symphony with Gražinytė-Tyla playing Bruch Scottish Fantasy and Brahms Violin Concerto, with Royal Scottish National Orchestra performing Korngold, with BBC Scottish Symphony performing Bernstein’s Serenade with John Wilson and with New Jersey Symphony/Slobodeniouk. Ning also returns to Bilbao Symphony Orchestra with Giancarlo Guerrero, China Philharmonic with Isaac Stern, and Guangzhou Symphony and Hong Kong Philharmonic, both under the baton of Long Yu. Chamber music highlights include returns to Wigmore Hall and Schubertiade to perform the Schubert Piano Trios with Igor Levit and Daniel Müller-Schott, and two all-Schubert programmes with Nicholas Angelich and Edgar Moreau in Lucerne, as well as his debut at Moritzburg Festival and a performance at Premiere Performances Hong Kong’s 10th anniversary gala concert.
Ning Feng records for Channel Classics in the Netherlands and his latest disc, Apasionado, with Orchestra Sinfónica del Principado de Asturias and Rossen Milanov, features works by Sarasate, Lalo, Ravel and Bizet/Waxman and was released in March 2016. Two further discs are due for release in the 2017/18 season: Bach’s complete solo works for violin, and the Elgar and Finzi Violin Concertos with Royal Liverpool Philharmonic conducted by Carlos Miguel Prieto.
Born in Chengdu, China, Ning Feng studied at the Sichuan Conservatory of Music, the Hanns Eisler School of Music (Berlin) with Antje Weithaas and the Royal Academy of Music (London) with Hu Kun, where he was the first student ever to be awarded 100% for his final recital. The recipient of prizes at the Hanover International, Queen Elisabeth and Yehudi Menuhin International violin competitions, Ning Feng was First Prize winner of the 2005 Michael Hill International Violin Competition (New Zealand), and in 2006 won first prize in the International Paganini Competition.
Ning Feng plays a 1721 Stradivari violin, known as the ‘MacMillan’, on private loan, kindly arranged by Premiere Performances of Hong Kong, and plays on strings by Thomastik-Infeld, Vienna.
Long YU, conductor
Hailed as the “most powerful figure in China’s classical music scene” by The New York Times, the preeminent Chinese conductor Long Yu holds positions as the Music Director of the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, Artistic Director & Chief Conductor of the China Philharmonic Orchestra and Music Director of the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra. He is also the Principal Guest Conductor of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. Maestro Yu is the Founder of the Beijing Music Festival and was its Artistic Director from 1998 to 2018. He is the Co-Director of the MISA Summer Festival in Shanghai.
In the 2019/20 season, alongside his work in China, Maestro Yu makes guest appearances across the globe, including with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, Bern Symphony Orchestra, Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra, Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, Auckland Philharmonia, Taiwan Philharmonic and Singapore Symphony Orchestra. Summer 2019 saw Maestro Yu lead the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra on a tour of the USA and Europe, with orchestral debuts at London’s BBC Proms, Edinburgh International Festival, Wolf Trap, and Ravinia Festival in addition to performances at the Lucerne Festival, Grafenegg Festival and Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw.
In June 2018, Maestro Yu signed an exclusive recording contract with Deutsche Grammophon, which began a global release and distribution partnership. As part of the Deutsche Grammophon’s 120th anniversary celebrations in 2018/19, Maestro Yu conducted a spectacular launch concert in October at the site of Beijing’s historic Imperial Ancestral Temple at the Forbidden City, alongside artists such as Aida Garifullina and Daniil Trifonov.
Maestro Yu has conducted a highly-acclaimed list of orchestras and opera houses throughout the world including the New York Philharmonic, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Philadelphia Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Montreal Symphony Orchestra, Washington DC’s National Symphony Orchestra, Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre de Paris, Bamberg Symphony Orchestra, Hamburg State Opera, Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra, MDR Leipzig Radio Symphony Orchestra, NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra, Munich Philharmonic, Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Sydney Symphony Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonia Orchestra, Hong Kong Philharmonic, Tokyo Philharmonic and Singapore Symphony Orchestra. Maestro Yu continues to collaborate frequently with many of the world’s most celebrated soloists such as Alison Balsom, Sumi Jo, Lang Lang, Yo-Yo Ma, Mischa Maisky, Maxim Vengerov and Yuja Wang.
In 2008, the China Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Long Yu became the first Chinese orchestra in history to perform at the Vatican in the Paul VI Auditorium. The concert was attended by Pope Benedict XVI and marked a giant step in bringing eastern and western cultures closer together. In 2014, Maestro Yu and the China Philharmonic became the first Chinese conductor and orchestra to play the fabled BBC Proms series with a televised performance at London’s Royal Albert Hall. The concert was viewed by millions of people across the United Kingdom.
Leading the development of orchestral landscape in China, Maestro Yu has created the nation’s first orchestral academy as a partnership between Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, Shanghai Conservatory, and the New York Philharmonic. His dynamic vision is focused on introducing China’s growing audiences to key Western repertoire including Wagner’s Ring Cycle, Mahler Cycle, as well as works of Richard Strauss, Benjamin Britten, and many others. In 2014, the New York Philharmonic named Maestro Yu an honorary member of their International Advisory Board. The 12-member Board serves as a network of advocates and ambassadors connecting with individuals and institutions in their home countries to cultivate the Philharmonic’s long-term reach and influence worldwide.
Maestro Yu made his debut with the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra in 1993 and in 2003 became Music Director of the orchestra. During his time as Music Director, Maestro Yu has embarked on European and Egyptian tours with the orchestra, performing at Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris, Conservatoire de Luxembourg, Concertgebouw Amsterdam and Cairo Opera House.
Born in 1964 into a musical family in Shanghai, Maestro Yu received his early musical education from his grandfather Ding Shande, a composer of great renown, and went on to study at the Shanghai Conservatory and the Hochschule der Kunst in Berlin. In 1992, he was appointed Principal Conductor of the Central Opera Theatre in Beijing and served as its conductor for three consecutive years. He created opera productions for The Urban Council of Hong Kong for five successive years.
